The Calgary Flames are set to clash with the powerhouse Colorado Avalanche tonight, Monday, March 30, 2026, at Ball Arena in Denver. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. MT). If you are looking to catch the action live, there are a variety of TV and streaming options depending on your location.
TV Channels and Streaming Options for USA & Canada
In the United States, fans can stream the game nationally via NHL Power Play on ESPN+. Local fans in the Denver market can catch the game on Altitude Sports (ALT), with simulcasts available on KTVD and KUSA. Over in Canada, the game will be broadcast regionally on Sportsnet West (SNW) and can also be streamed via Prime Video in select markets.
Regional Blackouts Explained
When streaming NHL games on out-of-market platforms like ESPN+ in the US or Sportsnet+ in Canada, regional blackouts apply. This means that if you live within the local broadcasting territory of either the Calgary Flames or the Colorado Avalanche, the national stream will be blocked. Instead, you are required to watch the game on your regional sports network (Altitude for Avalanche fans, Sportsnet West for Flames fans). If you are traveling outside your home market, you can bypass local blackouts by using the out-of-market ESPN+ stream as normal.
2025-26 NHL Season Records & Last Game Results
As we inch closer to the playoffs, these two teams find themselves on very different trajectories. The Colorado Avalanche are dominating the NHL Central Division, boasting a stellar record of 48-14-10 (106 points). However, they are coming off a slight stumble, having dropped their last game 4-2 to the Winnipeg Jets.
The Calgary Flames, on the other hand, sit 7th in the Pacific Division with a record of 31-34-8 (70 points). Despite a tough season, the Flames have some momentum after an explosive 7-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in their most recent matchup.
Leading Scorers & Key Injuries
The Avalanche’s high-flying offense is spearheaded by superstar Nathan MacKinnon, who leads the NHL with an incredible 117 points (48 goals, 69 assists) so far in the 2025-26 season. Colorado is dealing with a few key injuries, notably to Artturi Lehkonen, Nicolas Roy, and captain Gabriel Landeskog.
For the Flames, veteran Mikael Backlund leads calgary in scoring (40 points). Calgary’s injury report is quite extensive, with Jonathan Huberdeau, Jake Bean, Joel Hanley, Samuel Honzek, Yan Kuznetsov, and Connor Zary all currently sidelined.
Calgary Flames vs. Colorado Avalanche Game Prediction & Odds
Entering tonight’s contest, the betting odds heavily favor the home team. The moneyline sits at Colorado -335, with the Over/Under (O/U) set at 6.5 goals.
Personally, I see this game heavily leaning toward the Avs. Taking Colorado at -335 doesn’t offer much betting value straight up, but looking at how explosive MacKinnon and company have been all season, pairing them with the over makes sense. The Flames gave up plenty of chances this year, and while they scored seven in their last game, containing Colorado at Ball Arena is a totally different beast.
I’m predicting a fast-paced 5-2 victory for the Colorado Avalanche, comfortably hitting the over on the 6.5 total.
